Racauderie Vouvray 2009

For its verve, fragrance, its sense of Chenin blanc and the taste of the Vouvray terroir, Racauderie has earned its glowing reputation as a wine that shows the bright charm of Chenin blanc right out of the gates and evolves to a rounded complexity over time in bottle. Combining snappy citrus and pit fruits with a subtly fragrant texture reminiscent of honeycomb, this is Chenin blanc in its rosy cheeked youth. Add to these a mineral snap to the crisp texture and you taste the land of Vouvray on the northern bank of the Loire River. In a word: irresistible.

Food Pairings

This would be lovely with Asian food. The slight sweetness and wonderfull acidity, which is completely cloaked, would match the spiciness and underling sweetness of many asain sauces. Als, salads, chicken, fish accompanied by an herb sauce.
