Vinicola del Sannio 2012 Barbera, Beneventano IGT, Italia | 12% | Barbera as plums and violets will make a friend for life –a chummy and ever ready red for just about any meal and certainly good for sipping at ease in good company. Dry, with ample fruit, a touch of toothy tannins, a firm red cherry sort of fruit on the palate and a pleasant, appetizing finish. Here’s a scrumptious red from Campania’s town and surround commune Beneventano –a source of delicious food friendly reds among others.
