Sattler St. Laurent 2012

“This is why I have such confidence in the 2012 reds. It’s lovely, balanced and chocolatey; roast duck with plum glaze; for me it’s one of the finer vintages, less effusive than ‘11, rounder and truly richer, though it’s less “intense.” Again the low notes of iron. Tasted a few degrees warmer than I’d actually drink it, so the fruit will be even shapelier. As always, not a scrap of wood, so look at how much stuffing-drenched exotica you can get with fruit alone.”
