Sierra Cantabria Crianza 2009

Beautiful floral notes on the nose in an autumnal form -like dried bouquets or that sweet scent of crisp November leaves. Well structured Crianza like this is more impressive than its peers with much more nuance to its cherry fruit and root spiced palate. Silty cocoa like tannins are kept fresh with polished and juicy acids akin to tart cherry juice. Altogether the oak is an integrated element at home with ripe fruit, a serious presence and a fragrant finish. Seldom do I think of Crianza as a category for keeping but this very well could evolve to show even more. Well done Sierra Cantabria!
