Boroli Dolcetto Madonna di Como 2007
Poised for the table, this is exemplary Dolcetto with fragrant red cherries and lifted earthen aromas reminiscent of a sweet scented forest floor. Ah, Piedmont! I wish I had more medium bodied reds like this that are textural though mild with a good zip, a fine grip, balanced fruit, and an exotic spice. Boroli does it again!

Pasta and pizza with cheesy, tomatoey sauces. Risotto, too. Sausages, grilled chicken and tuna. Burgers and brats.
