Tablas Creek Cotes de Tablas Blanc 2017
Tablas Creek 2012 Esprit de Tablas Blanc, Paso Robles | 24% Viognier, 30% Marsanne, 30% Grenache Blanc, 6% Roussanne | An organic estate wine from northern Rhône varieties Firm and fragrant –quite mineral in an upright structure| 100% stainless steel but on its lees until bottling lending a wonderful breadth and mouthfeel through the finish. Granache Blanc was never before seen or planted in the states before Tablas Creek brought it over and pioneered the variety from their nursery. Melon, orange, firm apricots and peaches, a gentle fragrance but certainly reflected on the palate. A truly elegant daresay French scope on a gifted, Biodynamically dry farmed plot of American soil –and an incredible wine.
