Tedeschi Capitel Monte Tenda Soave Classico 2012
Crushed seashells, orchard fruit, and high toned aromas of almonds invite one to the wonders of Garganega –the regional grape variety of Soave in Italy’s Veneto in the northeast. Tedeschi’s Capitel Tenda hails from the appellations oldest parcels of Monteforte d’Alpone. Fragrant and mineral, the fruit on the palate is vigorous and yet the texture is soft and supple. Searching for a wine for hors d’oeuvres, fish or simply as a delicious aperitif on its very own. 12.5% alcohol is also worth noting as one who yearns for more food friendly wines –an elusive quarry in a warming world.
