Tempranillo of La Mancha may be the most reasonable quaffing red around. Manchegan winemaking has risen beyond measure in living memory and thanks to earlier harvests and temperature controlled fermentations. Tempranillo from the region is fragrant and flavoursome preserving the varietal characteristics of strawberries, spices and hints of tobacco. Before modern winemaking these were so often coarse and plain. Now the Tempranillo of La Mancha are truly delightful.

Food Pairings

I must confess that pork and Tempranillo is a match to make my mouth water. Now don't bust my chops but on a Spring day or a cooler early Summer day like today, those pork cracklings they make at the Hispanic market and a glass or two of Dehesa Gogo
