Teso la Monja Romanico 2011

Teso la Monja 2011 Romanico, Toro, Spain | This is the bold red that rose as an Eguren project after they sold the world’s first high end Toro, the Numanthia for a worthy but considerable sum. With all the funds from their new friends at luxury giant Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey, they bought Tinto de Toro vines at an even higher altitude lending all the more nuance and vivacity. Rich and ripe this has a tangy cranberry cherry compote and an anchor of grilled plums replete with char marks and a bold structure. A deep red as beguiling in its tension as it is complete in its handsome breadth.
