Trefethen Double T - Red Wine 2013

Cabernet Sauvignon produces wines of intensity and depth of flavour. Classically, these flavours are cassis, plum, black cherry and anise. Herb, olive, mint, tobacco and cedar are often associated with Cabernet Sauvignon wine, as well. If Merlot is a constituent in the wine these nuances are brought forward. The firm tannins of Cabernet often need some time to soften. This barrel aging this also lets the wine pickup character from the wood, usually vanilla and buttered toast.

Food Pairings

The perfect companion to any barbecue, Double T Red is big on burgers, ribs, pulled pork, as well as the occasional brisket.
