Yalumba Eden Valley Chardonnay 2008
Fermented with native yeast and getting 40% fermentation in new, one and two year old barrels along with plenty of lees stirring for added richness. 13.5% alc. This is a white worthy of decanting; the nose gives up citrus with an emphasis on lemon zest along with a touch of lanolin. The palate displays lots of juicy red apple, and manages a very pleasant lingering finish. Give this some time to open up and you’ll find a very nice Chardonnay for the money.
