Yalumba Y Series Viognier 2015

Ah Viognier in that tension of fleshy stone fruit (apricots and peaches), piney sap rich rosemary and honeysuckle –this is inviting to inhale and rewarding on the tongue. Well structured by a rich body balanced by a snappy acidity, the palate is more fresh apricots that chin dripping peaches in a way that isn’t too viscous or heavy as Viognier in warmer climes can sometimes venture. This is just delicious and refreshing.

Food Pairings

Viognier is just the wine to accompany any dish rich in butter or cream which may be common knowledge but less well known perhaps is its affinity to dishes spiced with cumin or curry.
