Owned by the Eguren family, a name well-known as they have a rich history of grape growing in Rioja. They are loctaed in one of the most famous Rioja wine towns San Vincente de la Sonsierra in the Rioja Alta. The Sierra Cantabria mountain range (1.200 m. of altitude) and the Ebro river (350 m.), create a special microclimate with Mediterranean and Continental characteristics, providing mild winters and gentle summers unique for vine cultivation.
The viticultural landscape is characterized by a gentle and rolling relief. The soil composition is clay-calcareous (Calcixerollic Xerichrept), with a high limestone proportion. They are poor in organic matter, nutrients and mineral salts; very appropriate for grape-growing. The abundance of rounded stones, based of alluvium and gravel remains, create a perfect balance of drainage and hydric retention. The subsoil is composed of cracked rocks that encourages the search of complementary nourishment by the roots, favoring the balance of the diverse grape components
