Terrapura

Rooted in the history of Chile are the indigenous Mapuche people. The accounts from that era remember that the ancient people had a deep connection to nature in their culture and named the stars, birds, animals, insects… This profound and ancient relationship with the earth can be understood as the Mapuche people believed they were children of the earth.

Terrapura is the recognition of this rich history, the origins of the Mapuche and the care and reverence of their land. Terrapura was formed in 2005 by two Chilean entrepreneurs, Alfonso Undurraga and Jose Miguel Ovalle, whom after years of friendship joined their viticulture dreams in creating this winery. They both carry the love for wine production and passion for the land in their souls.
