March 8^th marks International Women’s Day a global day celebrating the achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

International Women’s Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people.

Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere as IWD is not country, group or organization specific.

Collective action and shared ownership for driving equality is what makes International Women’s Day successful. An equal world is an enabled world.

Robbin Hilgert has been a crucial part of The Wine Company for nearly 28 years and led us as our President for the last 12 years. Robbin’s leadership provides consistent growth, a clear vision, and steadfast mentorship.

Nicole Ralston, Operations Manager, keeps everything running smoothly while leading her team through day to day challenges with confidence.

Dana Bonelli, Spirits Portfolio Director, has built a world class spirits portfolio committed to environmental sustainability and fair labor production practices that has allowed The Wine Company to redefine its presence in the MN market as industry leaders over the past two years.

Patty Douglas, On Premise Manager, builds and supports relationships with our restaurant partners with creativity, integrity, and passion.

Ann Avant, Director of Purchasing, handily lands over 100 containers a year to ensure a steady supply of product without interruption.

The Company depends mightily on Xiaoyan Sun, Controller, to consistently manage financial platforms without error.

The Wine Company is strong because of these individuals along with many more; our sales force and office team boast a ratio of 50%+ women.

Throughout the year, we highlight our portfolio as products -their provenance and terroir, the botanicals and craft of distilling. During the month of March, we will focus that spotlight on some of the extraordinary women among us; women run wineries and distilleries whose leadership demonstrate excellence in their trade.
