SALES CONSULTANT
AT THE WINE COMPANY
Full job description for an active role at THE WINE COMPANY
Job Title: Fine Wine & Spirits Sales Consultant - Twin Cities Metro, MN
About The Wine Company
Founded in 1985, The Wine Company is a family-owned business committed to finding high-quality wines and spirits and discovering accoutrements that enhance the appreciation of these distinctive and authentic tastes. We are responsible for shipping, storing, and delivering these products in a manner that preserves their integrity.
We represent a well-rounded beverage portfolio focused on smaller family-owned and operated wineries and distilleries—many of which farm organically, biodynamically, or sustainably. Their stories often get lost behind the advertising budgets of mass-produced wines and spirits. Our commitment is to share the passion and stories of our producers with key retail and restaurant buyers in Minnesota.
As a Sales Consultant, you will receive ongoing portfolio education and have the opportunity to meet many of our producers through winery/distillery visits or in-market presentations. Your firsthand knowledge and deep understanding of our producers will help keep Minnesota retail shelves and restaurant menus full of delicious and unique offerings.
Additionally, categories such as Sake and Adult Non-Alcoholic beverages are expanding opportunities for us to be more complete partners to our customers. We strive to offer solutions across multiple beverage categories, ensuring that both retail and restaurant accounts can meet the evolving preferences of their consumers.
About You
You’re someone who knows and loves the adult beverage world, you’ve sold wine and spirits, and you understand how the three-tier system works. You’re organized and detail oriented, but also flexible enough to handle the day-to-day twists that come with managing a territory. You know how to map out your week, plan your route, and make smart choices about where to spend your time.
You’ve built strong B2B relationships with retailers, restaurants, and key partners, and you take pride in being trusted, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. You understand how to drive sales and see every account visit as an opportunity to learn, connect, and make an impact.

You will:
Work collaboratively with a passionate team of in-house professionals, developing strategies that expand distribution of our portfolio and provide top-tier distribution services to our customers.
