Bulletin Place Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

The Modena province is known for the production of the traditional Lambrusco. Since 1970 its prestigious grape varietals have the Appellation d'Origine Controlée (DOC).

This wine is obtained from the generous grapes of the ancient 'Grasparossa' vine, cultivated on the hills surrounding Castelvetro village in the Modena province .

It is a wine of an intense ruby colour, with a light pink froth. The fruity nose and taste, which are typical of this varietal, are very pleasant indeed. Thanks to the slow fermentation this wine retains a remarkable softness.

Expert Review

"Our No. 1 bottle was the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Pruno Nero from Cleto Chiarli, an energetically fruity yet balanced wine that embodied all the buoyant refreshment I could ask for in a Lambrusco...it also was our best value."
- Wines of the Time column by Eric Asimov, the New York Times, 7/30/12
