Coltibuono Cultusboni Chianti Classico RS 2018

With a family heritage stretching back to the de Medici, the Stucchi Prinetti bear the mantle of Tuscany and their wines with aplomb –as exemplified in this gorgeous Chianti Classico. High toned cherries, black tea, and woodsy pine forest floor come together in an appetizing structure that reveals Sangiovese’s telltale nervy acidity –almost dancing on the palate with shifting fruit and gentle spice –a wine for the table without question. Looking for a Chianti to suit the whole table no matter what other foods the other guests have before them? You have found it.

Expert Review

91 Points - Decanter, Richard Baudains, September, 2013
Delicate floral nose with earthy, slightly peaty background. Very precise palate, with fine tannins, good weight for the vintage and a concentrated bone-dry finish. Needs a little time to open up. Drink 2014 - 2020. 14% ABV.

Food Pairings

Seriously anything tomatoey sings with Sangiovese, pizza and pasta to be sure. Sausages, chicken, gazpacho. Bread salad.
