Loewen Laurentiuslay Riesling Spatlese 2010
Good grief! This Mosel Riesling from its telltale parcel of grey slate is lovely and yet with a rounder jaw line and a fuller figure -but the attraction is deeply pheremonal for despite it's engaging white peach, Japanese sake, and shit you not: salted butter -in both fragrance and flavor and how flavorsome -almost an animal attraction. At 8.5% this is a food wine par excellence ... a blissful joy.
Food Pairings
Pork, ham, scallops. Salmon or tuna most anyway even tartare. Asian food. An excellent wine with food.
