Marques de Caceres Excellens Rioja 2015
The classic trio come together for this Crianza Rioja: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. As is due course for the talents of Marques de Caceres, this spends 12 months in both American and French oak yielding a compelling case that Rioja has reined in from the gratuitous modern style and is heading home to the delightful, spiced fruit of its birthplace –this is an absolute copybook Crianza in the best way. 13% alcohol by volume

85% Tempranillo 15% Garnacha Tinta & Graciano
"Intense, ruby red colour. Expressive nose with notes of raspberries, bilberries and cherries, enlivened by a touch of spice and a depth of vanilla. Charming fruit in the mouth with good structure that highlights concentrated flavours and fleshy tannins. Nice complexity on tasting resulting in good length. Thanks to a rigorous selection fromm our best "cuvees" for the 2007 Crianza, this wine retains in full the character derived from top quality grapes. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months and then in bottle for at least 14 months."
