Melville Estate Syrah 2017
Tablas Creek 2013 Patelin de Tablas Rosé, Paso Robles | 14.1% | 73% Grenache, 27% Mourvèdre, 5% Counoise | Directly pressed rosé fermented under wild yeasts, this is fresh, fragrant and driven by white cherries and a lifted strawberry and floral lift –vinous like a fine white wine. Apple skin tannins lend an impressive grip and texture and a launch pad for the fruit and mineral to bound about the mouth. A vibrant and living wine.

73% Grenache; 22% Mourvèdre; 5% Counoise.
"The Grenache orientation of this pink offering takes it more into the strawberry/juicy camp than its mate (reference to Tablas Creek Dianthus Paso Robles Rosè), and that alone might make it more of a quaffer than the wine above. But this one also has traits like latter palate grip that could easily allow it to be a wine for the table."
