Umani Ronchi Villa Bianchi Verdicchio 2019

Verdicchio is thought to be a relative of the Trebbiano and Greco grapes, whose vines run rampant all over Italy, but it is often better. Verdicchio is rather like the cousin who was the first in his family to go to college and make something of himself. This can be attributed to the climate that DOC Castelli di Jesi enjoys with it’s proximity to both the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine mountain range along with all of the limestone soils in which so many whites excel. Taking a cue from the Friulians further north by employing stainless-steel with temperature controlled fermentation, racy and fragrant whites are becoming the standard here, but it wasn’t always so. Oh, no

Food Pairings
