Mont Olivet | Clos du

Clos du Mont Olivet is run by Pierre, Jean-Claude and Bernard Sabon, the three sons of Joseph Sabon. This estate is very traditional in its winemaking style, and though a small domaine, has earned a strong reputation for Châteauneuf du Pape. The four generations of Sabons living there now are relative “newcomers”, as the estate and vineyards have existed since 1547. They are members of “Les Reflets”, an association which upholds quality at moderate prices.

Their wines are produced from vines that are 40-60 years old. The Côtes-du-Rhône is produced from non-contiguous parcels located in the northern, eastern and southern sectors with the most important pieces based in lime/clay with an immense rocky “gallet” carpet.
