Here’s a little fact few people know: as a percentage of total production, Washington has more 90+ point Wine Spectator scored wines than any other wine region on Earth. Here’s another statistic: the state’s largest producer, in a survey conducted in the late 2000’s, discovered that most people that enjoyed their wine had no idea it came from Washington.
Yes, our friends in the Pacific Northwest might have a bit of an identity crisis. But through tastings, dinners, and education there is a mountain of momentum for these wines and this area. We have high hopes for Washington and will enjoy watching this become a larger part of our business in the future.
