Originally from Elk River, I now live in south Minneapolis. Fond of all things French I find myself especially drawn to the wines of the Southern Rhone with Cotes du Rhone making a regular appearance at the table. I also enjoy exploring the full spectrum of heavy reds from across the world. Come summer I tend to drink dry whites not least dry Rieslings and the Gruner Veltliners of Austria especially with Vietnamese and Thai food which are two of my favorites.

Outside my delivery day with Cooperative Wine Services, I’m a drummer who finds himself driving a ton for music too having crisscrossed the country more than twenty times. Band tours have also carried me across Europe with some favorite stops including Germany, France, Switzerland, and Poland. I love traveling.

When I am not playing music, I am likely listening to every sort – especially doomy, shoegazey, noisy, industrial music. Otherwise I might be watching the classics of film noir or plumbing the depths of the Criterion Collection for old French movies – where Jean-Luc Godard has surfaced as a reliable favorite.
