Since 1895, the Loron family continues the work of his ancestors since 5 generations. From Michel Verchère began in 1895 to Jean-Ludovic Loron, five generations have followed in the work of the vine and crafting of wine in the cellars at the bottom of the Cote du Py, only 300 feet from the village center.

A mix of modernity and tradition, of learned expertise and the latest technology has urged these folk towards an eco-friendly agriculture, wider conservation of their land, and the health of our fellow creatures, customers and friends.

At harvest all the grapes are picked by hand for a traditional Beaujolais vinification with whole bunches. Maceration temperature is mastered without thermovinification. Within the Morgon appellation the "Clos des Gaudets" is produced from two climats: Corcelette climate and climate Cote du Py, the true cradle of essential Morgon. From a bedrock of decomposed rocks, these soils produce a wine with mineral accents and aromas of fresh fruits, kirsch and floral violet notes.
