Mas De Gourgonnier

Luc, Lucienne, and Luc's brother Frédéric Cartier are the proprietors of a 47 hectare farm in one of the most picturesque places in France at the base of the ancient cliff-hanging city of Les Baux.

The small "Mas" (old "Oc" language for a fortified farm) that this family operates is completely organic and they are known not only for their wine, but also their honey, olives, apricots, and olive oil.

The vineyard soils are said to be infused with the scent and taste of the local vegetation collectively refered to as "garrigue" and is a combination of rosemary, sage, lavender, olive, and a scrubby flowering plant known as cistes.
