Alexander Valley Vineyards Sin Zin 2010
Is it better to learn from others’ sins? Delicious and appetizing right from the very start, the nose bears Zinfandel’s black pepper come raspberries with both carrying over palate with juicy acidity, fine and supple tannins, along with a baked blackberry/raspberry/strawberry pastry core of fruit. Think of this as a porch pounder among reds –except pounding a few of these (weighing in at 14.7% alcohol by volume) might inspire a lazy afternoon. Forewarned is fair warned? Take it from one who knows.
