Alexander Valley Vineyards Zinfandel Temptation 2010
The red rocky soil of the hillside vineyard on Dry Creek Road produces smaller berries with higher acidity and dark fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry. While the gravelly loam soil at the West Dry Creek Road vineyard on the valley floor produces fruit with pronounced jammy flavors of black cherry, plum and black pepper. (winery note)
Food Pairings
A perfect wine to drink with casual fare. A barbecued brisket sandwich would be perfect with a glass of Temptation or maybe some baby back ribs. Or enjoy a glass or two with a cheeseburger topped with a good cheddar and a spoonful of roasted Anaheims
