Paitin Roero Arneis Vigna Elsia 2016

85% Arneis, 15% Riesling selected from the vineyard located in Vezza d’Alba, planted from 1991 to 1994, 4.600 plants per hectare, harvested in mid September. The grapes are crushed and moved to a rotofermenter for 24 hours of cold maceration at 12° C (53°F) next day pressed and clarified. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at low
temperature (14°C) with selected yeast. There is no malolactic fermentation which preserves acidity and freshness. The wine is held “sur lie” in stainless steel tanks until bottling.

Pale sunshine yellow color with fresh floral, citrus and melon aromas with hints of almonds. A dry, medium bodied white wine with crisp acidity, well-balanced, elegant wine with good complexity and a lingering finish.
