Cachette du Rhone Rose 2014

Made of 100% Grenache Noir planted to the gravely, pebbly soils in the South of France in the Gard department of the Languedoc region, this rosé is a committed rosé that spends three hours on the skins before pressing. Fermentation takes place at the low temperature between 59° to 62° F to preserve the aromas. The wine is stored in stainless steel on the lees for several months and racked before bottling. Cachette Rosé is a shiny, luminous pink. Aromas of just picked raspberries, strawberries and peaches dominate the nose while the palate shows density and concentration of fruit dominated by red berries and sweet spices. The wine is light and refreshing and has a balanced minerality with a floral and fruity finish. A very versatile wine, such rosé can be served with a variety of cuisine. It pairs well as an aperitif, salads, seafood, shellfish and grilled meats.
