Francois Carillon Bourgogne Chardonnay 2010

Beautiful, textural Appellation Burgundy seldom expresses such generosity -full of grapefruit, a mineral vivacity, a fragrant waxy vanilla bean nuance, and an embracing finish that reminds one of finer Burgundy -perhaps because 50% of this comes from domaine fruit from Francois Carillon -one of the great growers of Puligny-Montrachet whose focused attention to detail is legion. What a best foot forward into white Burgundy!

“The 2010s are the first wines François Carillon has vinified on his own following the division of the family estate, Louis Carillon. I was very impressed with what I tasted, but, and perhaps even more importantly, deeply struck by the attention to detail, especially in the vineyards. The 2010 Bourgogne shows gorgeous energy and class at this level.
It is a tasty, entry-level offering from Francois Carillon."
