La Valentina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Spelt 2006

Deep brooding color, Smokey black fruits mix with sage and iron. Very rich and balanced in the mouth with good acidity and polish. Very sophisticated long and full finish. A revelation from Abruzzo.
- wine tasting note by PC, February 2011

"A wine which you notice for its ruby red color with purplish specks. The nose notes wild berries, leading into violets, resin and bergamot for this substantial wine. To the palate it has a full, seductive body with tannic overtones which melt into blackberry and blackcurrant intertwined with suggestions of cocoa and coffee. The palate is overwhelmed by rich balsamic emotions followed by the merest hints of wet graphite."
