Girardin Puligny-Montrachet Blanc Vieille Vignes 2020
Bright and chalky mineral lifted more Macon sort of Chardonnay in that it is bright and fragrant without being extracted or heavyset whatsoever. Instead this is a Chardonnay at the more refreshing end of the spectrum that is impressive without force, lasting but clean and crisp.
Wine review by Nicholas Livingston, March 2013
For a wine with no Malolactic fermentation, this certainly has presence! Powerful nose of wild flowers and warm, ripe pineapple. Rustic yet balanced in the mouth. Rich, tropical, apple-y notes with a clean, citrus finish. Overall, layered and complex. Serious Chardonnay. 12.5% ABV.
