Juan Gil 2009
Jumilla means Monastrell! Although the French call this Spanish grape Mourvedre, make no mistake this spicy roasted red is not the meek, floral, scented blending grape of the Rhone. No this is densely ripe, full of cocoa and coffee bean richness. A dense mouthful of fruit and spice akin to savory fruitcake this has firmly knit tannins that lend to a sensational finish of spice and texture.
