Chateau d'Aydie Madiran 2008

100% Tannat
I love wines from Southwest France. They typically have a beautiful floral, herbaceous nose and an elegance to the palate. This wine does not disappoint. There’s a lovely freshness to the nose – high-toned, herbaceous wood; the palate shows first spice, then black pepper, black cherry, black fruits, plum in a ripe fashion without being the least flabby. This would be delicious with duck or game birds.
