Marchesi di Gresy Dolcetto d'Alba Aribaldo 2010
Planted to the hill of Monte Aribaldo, these Dolcetto vines are planted to 12,000 feet which are good elevations for floral fragrance and fruitiness. Chalky mineral, brown spices, and red cherries. Juicy and nervy like an appetizing Sangiovese but fresher and more charming –perhaps from fermenting without oak. An afternoon wine, an antipasti wine, this Dolcetto is a refreshing glimpse at the varietal itself.
