Li Veli 2011 Susumaniello, Salento IGT | Susumaniello is a local variety that, once tasted, will convince you it deserves for acres under vine as it is deep yet bright, fresh and round, full and nimble, fragrant and flavorsome. Aromatic with a sour cherry and pomegranate fruit profile, a mouthwatering structure on the palate, fine but certain tannins, and a beguiling aromatic hardwood through the finish.

"Ruby red with purplish shimmer, on the nose it presents a distinct red berries aroma, from raspberry, sour cherry, to blackcurrant, followed by liquorices, rhubarb and rawhide leather. On the mouth it tastes soft with a good fatness, very elegant and well balanced by a tannins party. The long finish on the palate shows a touch of acidity and a great freshness."
