Mont Olivet Chateauneuf du Pape Petit Mont 2010

Sustainable | From parcels is Montalivet, Les Gallimardes and Les Serres, this blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah, does well to prove Clos du Mont-Olivet unique intention to craft Le Petit Mont as a Châteauneuf-du-Pape is surely Châteauneuf-du-Pape in its expression but fruity and amiable in a way to enjoy without laying it down for over a decade; that said; I must say this will evolve nicely over the next decade should you wish and have the wherewithal. Juicy rose petals and orange rinds mix with that garrigue and barnyard so true to Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s fragrance. Red raspberries, sage, tarragon echo all over the palate and make for a Châteauneuf-du-Pape with immediate appeal –at last: a young and fresh and dynamic Châteauneuf-du-Pape that’s drinkable upon release!

95 % Grenache 5 % Syrah
This wine is the result of our aim to maximise the potential of our vineyards by selecting the plots which will give wines which are both fine and fruity and which may be enjoyed young. The grapes are from localities such as: Montalivet, Les Gallimardes and Les Serres. Ruby red, very expressive with aromas of small red fruits. There is good fruit on the palate with hints of vanilla and a finish.
