Paso a Paso Organic Tempranillo 2010

Old vine, organic Tempranillo from the warm arid climes of La Mancha express the spicy character of the variety which over the course of half a year in French oak tempers to a spicy, black currant profile in a toasty, nutty, smoky red in a remarkably pronounced into a rich character –brown butter, carob, Chinese five spice, and a savory tomato come orange rinds, and a core of black plum fruit. So much for chasing at windmills and being a flyover country of wine production –in this wine La Mancha proves its mettle.
