Boroli Barolo 2006
In every Boroli Barolo I find Nebbiolo makes a cogent case for being planted to this gifted part of Italy because together they always show these inviting violets and these earthen low notes. To these add the tug of tannin and a savory cherry pit perfume and you’re nearly there. The rest is made up of subtle and beguiling nuances that cannot be contained by the written or spoken word but instead ought to be experienced firsthand so you can marvel at Barolo at every stage in life. I don’t know if it is by witchcraft or what but those at Boroli somehow fashion an approachable Barolo right out of the gates and yet they age beautifully to new profound depths -an artful art.
