Teso la Monja Almirez Toro 2009

Made from 100% Tinto de Toro from low yielding vines ranging from 15 to 65 years old, Almirez sees 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new 70% of which were used once prior to this. Seasoned plums and boysenberries come to the fore against a backdrop of red cherry liqueur, dark chocolate and cordial cherries. Fine and silty but plentiful tannins provide the strength of structure to bear all the thoroughly matured fruit and deeply seasoned complexity of this dark red.
