Tamarack Firehouse Red 2011
In a great many ways this deep red embodies the Columbia Valley and all that sets it apart. A blend of just about every red variety grown in the region, this is a layered blend of 26% Merlot, 24% Syrah, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Sangiovese, 5% Malbec, 3% Zinfandel, 1% Grenache, Petit Verdot, 1% Counoise and 1% Carmenère. Richly spiced dark fruit and scented cedar shavings, this is a whole lot of wine and fills the mouth with ripe thick skinned fruit, a fine grained texture and a tannin, fragrance and finish that closes like cherry and dark chocolate.

Food Pairings
Most any meat; really, lamb, beef, pork, chicken, duck. Has an affinity for tomatoes and mushrooms.
