Yalumba Y Series Shiraz Viognier 2011

Red Syrah and white Viognier? This custom (more like alchemy) comes from France’s Northern Rhone and work in a synergy that not only fixes color but propels each farther than each of these varieties on their own. Black pepper and grilled plums welcome you with the Syrah but lift into a rosy floral scents of Viognier to keep you and lure you from sniffing to sipping. There you find a swelling core of red plums and cracked pepper, juicy acids and a fragrant finish.
