The winemaker here really has a handle on judicious use of oak. Its almost a winemaking signature. The 2007 has oak well integrated with with ripe fruit in the nose to offer an elegant expression. There is black fruit especially currants nuanced with pencil shavings and exotic spices. Wine review by LAC 3/23/2010
